Montgomery Bar

Inspiration; Standing at the polished stainless steel bow rail on the True North and witnessing the massive Montgomery Reef platform appear to rise up from the Indian Ocean as the tide drops  is  an event I’ll never forget. When I returned to my workshop and came across a Marri Burl half round that Dave had bought around nearly a year before it was the perfect material for this piece. The flat platform like top with it’s naturally sculptured underside took me straight back to the bow rail where I had witnessed one of natures true wonders.

Materials; Salvaged Marri Burl half round, Curly Marri, Polished Stainless steel.
