This was an artistic collaborative exhibition between Gary Bennett and David Paris of JahRoc Funiture together with seascape artist Larry Mitchell. The inspiration for the furniture and paintings was the Abrolhos Islands which are a group of coral islands off the coast of Geraldton WA. All 3 Artists took inspiration from these harsh limestone platforms that form the Islands and have provided settlement for the Cray fishermen who inhabit them in makeshift weather beaten shacks. The overextended jetty’s that stretch right out into the beautiful and clear of ocean that you can see through to the coral outcrops beneath.
The unique marri furniture designs that came from this exhibition have been well received.
