Artist Biography
Daniela Tommasi - Artist - Photography
Daniela is a professional photographer based in the beautiful Southwest region of Western Australia. She travels around Australia and the world for her aerial, sports and commercial photography work.
Her limited edition aerial photography images are often infused with vibrant colours and delicate patterns and textures, a clear influence of her Brazilian background and extensive travel and exploration of diverse landscapes and cultures.
Daniela’s journey into aerial photography brings to us large-scale works of art, unintentionally created both by nature and humankind, as they shape our planet for thousands of years. Viewed from the air, those contours, colours and flowing palettes, carved on the surface of the Earth, transform themselves into canvases of unexpected beauty. Daniela’s collection of aerial images reflect her exploration and personal interpretation of those exquisite landscapes and flitting moments in time.
Artist Statement
Born in Brazil, Daniela Tommasi has travelled the world extensively until eventually settling down in the beautiful Margaret River region, in Western Australia, in 1998. She studied Multimedia and has been working as a professional photographer since 2010. She is an awarded photographer specializing in Sports, Commercial and Aerial photography.
