Artist Biography
Dawid Brzezinski - Jewellery Artist
Artist Statement
Where my jewellery designing adventure began...When someone asks me why I do what I do, I find it simple and quite natural to summarise a lifetime of inspiration that has shaped my creative desires to this day. Inspiration is fleeting in life, but I feel as though I have been lucky enough to hold on to things that make me happy.
I grew up at the feet of two jewellers passionately pursuing their vision. My grandparents from my mother’s side were jewellers too, in fact my grandfather opened the first town jewellery shop in 1949, in the Polish city of Czestochowa. I think I can say I was born into the world of jewellery and craft, and I love it. I grew up seeing my family's devotion to creating spectacular jewellery and knew it was something that I wanted to continue.
The insight from my family lead me to work as a jeweller since I was 16 years old. I finished my jewellery and art education which encouraged my own creative visions started to emerge and I discovered in myself new passion which is jewellery design.
The more I immersed myself in the design space and worked with different designs in different cultures the better the results were.
After many years traveling I found my place here Down South. First I started designing bespoke pieces and from there Mirandum Jewellery was born. Since that time the company evolved and now I create small, limited collections selling worldwide.
My vision as a jewellery designer is to tell your own stories through the jewellery I create. My philosophy is to combine beauty and art, to add to your reality objects from the fantasy world.
I also want you to be able to experience the prestige and heritage of the industry, without the price barriers. I ensure that my jewellery is made to the highest of standards with the very best of materials and craftsmanship. All designs are handcrafted & manufactured in my Studio in Dunsborough.'
