Viviana is an artist with more than 25 years of experience designing, producing and teaching Ceramics. She is currently working exclusively with porcelain producing functional objects and wall art from her studio in Perth.

Artist Statement

Working with porcelain is for me a balancing act. Sometimes still, delicate and fragile, establishing a dialogue between light and shadows. Others dynamic and connected by a rhythmic composition suggesting movement or serenity interacting in space. Viviana is an artist with more than 25 years of experience designing, producing and teaching Ceramics. She is currently working exclusively with porcelain producing functional pieces from her studio in Duncraig (Viviana Maier Porcelain Objects)

2015 - Current Pottery Artist at Viviana Maier Porcelain Objects, Duncraig WA Viviana starts and runs her own business designing and producing wall art and pieces using porcelain as their main material. 2010 - 2014 Potter Teacher, Duncraig WA Teaching pottery to small groups of students from beginner to intermediate levels. 1996 - 2007 Pottery Teacher and Artist, Buenos Aires (Argentina) Co-owner of a Pottery Studio School (Idearios - www.alfareiaidearios.com) Viviana taught pottery and produced functional objects. 1994 Pottery Teacher, Aristobulo High School (Argentina) Teaching ceramics to students in years 9 to 12
