Artist Biography
Shaun Atkinson - Artist - Painter
Western Australian Artist Shaun Atkinson has been exhibiting nationally and internationally since 1975. He has travelled extensively living abroad in both Europe and Asia. Shaun Atkinson is well recognized for his atmospheric paintings combining the three elements of Land, Sea and Sky. He often incorporates gold and silver leaf which gives an Asian sensibility to the landscapes. Shaun’s home town Margaret River gives him an endless source of inspiration and subject matter. Shaun has played an important role in the Western Australian arts community as a university lecturer and as a leading contemporary art practitioner. He has won a strong collection of awards throughout his career and his work is represented in many collections including Curtin University, Parliament House, Kerry Stokes Collection, City of Bunbury Collection and Edith Cowan University.Shaun Atkinson - Artist Biography
